BP KILBOURNE WOODSMAN TO ORMANSTAR (MRS S J TAYLOR)

My thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge at the National. Intermittent rain made this an unsettled in and out experience for exhibitors . Not one for critique preambles, I feel compelled to comment on movement, and heads. There were some very nice hounds but no consistent quality in type or soundness. Viewed coming and going, many exhibits were very dissappointing. Also large, heavy heads with foreign expressions are widespread. Indeed the skull shape and eye set of a few lead to a novel term in my judging notes to describe the expression. Sadly it is an unprintable expletive. We are not and should not be a head breed, but may wish that we were if this trend continues. Please read the standard before breeding.
